Trading in My Kinect at EB Games?

So I was considering trading in my Kinect and my Kinect games so I could get some YuGiOh boosters because that what I play more often then Kinect surprisingly but I can't find anything about it on their trade policy sections on EB games so is there anything else I need to hand in to trade it in like the actual console or can I just trade the actual hardware and I don't really care about being low blowed by them. I mean, I seen the posts about how they often giving barely anything for your trade ins but to be honest, as long as I get rid of the Kinect and get something else I'm fine with it.

Bonus points if you can help me value how much it is. It's a Kinect for the Xbox 360, Dance Central, Kinect Adventures, Kinect Joyride and Kinect Sports.

Look at listings on eBay or gumtree and see how much people sell it on there for and price it accordingly.

Just a quick look and its around $40 or so.

I'm sure EB would give you a dollar for it

Agreed. Maybe $5-10 for the kinect, and $1-5 for the games. Its last gen tech so you can't expect a lot for it

    • Well I just traded in like 4 games for the Xbox 360 (Borderlands 1: Game Of The Year Edition, Borderlands The Presequal, Lego Marvel Heroes and Soul Caliber 5) and got 20 bucks out of them so I would at least expect a little more. I'm also trading in some old DS games and some Wii games which means I would trading 15 games and a Kinect in total so that has to be at least 30 or something like that.

Jesus guy why don't you sell them on eBay instead?

        • There is a couple of reasons.

          1. I'm only 16 and the WA section of EB Games surprisingly let 16 year old do trade ins and my parents would never let me sell the stuff online. I mean, I could of brought the thing but they still won't let me sell it. It's like that time I pulled a card that was worth $120 (yeah, card prices are ridiculous at times) but I had to go behind their back and find a local buyer to buy it from me

          2. I don't really care about the best deal. As I said before, I don't mind getting low blowed if it means I free up some space in my room and I been trying to get rid of the thing for a year now so since I can finally do trade ins, I might as well try.

          3. eBay do have those hidden charges plus you can't really trust people online in this time and age these days so EBs is the best thing I got to a trustworthy source.

        • @DxD: I would go and try the gumtree route probably your next best thing if eb doesn't go through with it out you get like peanuts a few dollars.

        • @DxD: Selling online could mean more boosters though! Wouldn't you want that.

        • @barginsarelife:

As much as I would like to sell it online, my first reason comes up yet again so as much I want to increase my chance of pulling a rare card I need, I have to go through EBs.

        • @DxD: When you do trade in at EB, make sure you use your (or a friend's) Level 2, 3 or 4 membership card as it entitles an extra 10%, 15% or 20% in trade-in credit respectively.

If you call them they can tell you the trade value.

I'd compare the price to what KitchenSink096 is saying and decide if it's worth selling.
It can be a hassle to sell with buyers making things complicated or no one being interested.
