Wait till back to school on Officeworks.

    • +1 on this.

I grabbed a whole bunch of 4gb sticks @$2.50 each last time.

Great for sharing stuff like photos with others, and you don't have to worry about getting them back.

OW had sandisk 8gb drives for $1.95 each - but no longer

do not buy them from aliexpress. too many dodgy USB stick dealers (and the prices aren't that great either)

I have personally have had really bad experience from "overseas" sold flash disks…
Their capacity is 97% always not true.

    • I guess I will have to wait for OW. I just thought I read somewhere that there was a Australian tech website that people got them from for cheap. Thanks anyway.

      • May i ask why you need these many flash/thumb drives?

  • You could other means of distribution. Eg-

    • Emailing all students the files.

    • Storing the file on a centralised dropbox account and sharing the link.

    • Using cheap ~$1 CD's

    • Embedding the contents onto a website and linking the website on a QR code which you provide each student.

    • Hosting the contents on your a server you set up and maintain and try to link the contents in an accessible web interface.

    • Sharing the files on VMax/Floppy.

    • I think he probably knows how to use the internet.

    • Good thinking. Wife does do most of your suggestions but it is mainly for marking. So she doesn't have to hand out one usb and wait for each student to put their work on it. For your other suggestion that got unpublished, they already have flash drive but they need to take it to their next class. Students don't have one usb for each subject. Thanks anyway

I take it your wife teaches in a public school probably design/IT? to year 8's/9's?
She is probably technically proficient enough to try one of my options…
        Anyways
        Good luck again

  • MSY has 8GB and 16GB for $4 … assuming you can find enough stock.

You could also try calling them and getting a discount on their slightly more expensive flash drives considering you want 25.

Or there are some other retailers here:

    • Nice work. MSY is the one I was trying to remember, I think. Checked staticice but couldn't find any cheaper ones. Thanks
