Folks,
Just lobbed into Japan and an early stop is at BIC Computer
to pick up an IIJmio "Japan Travel SIM (1GB / 30days)" for JPY2656 (incl tax)
just for SMS, Google etc use with my unlocked Lumia 532 (OzB Woolies $39 last year).
I plugged the APN settings like
APN: iijmio.jp
Username: mio@iij
Password: iij
Authentication: PAP
and set the "Manual internet APN" to ON but the "active network" (NTT DOCOMO-NTT DOCOMO)
doesn't seem to be connecting …
eg. Internet Explorer gives "We're having trouble displaying this page"
and messaging gives "Can't send"
Q) Has anyone used this combination (IIJmio and Lumia 532) in Japan ? Any thoughts ?
