Subway Meatball Moves up to Next Tier Pricing

Just went to my local Subway store (SE-QLD-Metro) and was shocked at a very recent 33% price hike.
Subway Meatball 6" was $5.75 now $7.65

Apparently it has moved up to the next tier of pricing.
I did notice Ham/Turkey/Vegie etc had decreased from $5.75 (6") to flat $5/$8 now (6"/foot), and that doesn't look like a promo period either.

Does this differ by store, state or national? Any experiences?
Might try the next suburb for comparison, but I have a feeling it'll be the same.

Oh well, if you want to eat a footlong filled with turds you will have to pay the price.

  • I love subway but they are just a bit too expensive compared to other alternatives in my area like coles or woolies but the convenience is always nice that it is there. Just remember you aren't paying for the product but the convenience.

  • I checked my local Subway tonight (Morley Galleria, WA) and the meatball subs there are still advertised in the cheapest tier - which is $5.95 for 6" and $8.45 for 12".
