My Poor Experience with T-Dimension Warranty

Hi Ozbargain, I would just like to share (rant) my warranty experience of T-Dimension and was wondering if anyone was on the same boat as me previously.

So, I purchased a LG G5 from T-Dimension around 9 months ago. Three months ago, the phone started overheating and no longer accepted sim cards (nope, not bootloop). So I just several emails to T-Dimension and they make me record a video of the problem. I did that and they agreed that they will accept it back. Once they took the phone back via FedEx courier, they stopped replying. I constantly sent them emails regarding the status until one day, they did reply and said I flashed the phone because IMEI was gone and I would have to pay around $300 to get it repaired. I have never flashed the phone, don't even know what that does so I kept sending them emails and tried calling their 'Sydney' number but no one has ever replied (it's been probably over a month now). Now my LG G5 has been kidnapped.

Is there anything I can do or am I screwed. I usually buy phones locally but the eBay deal on the LG G5 seemed too great last year that I took the bait.

I had a problem with T-dimension last year. I bought a Canon G7x camera off them, after about 7 months, the lens wouldn't open and close properly. I too had to send them a video to show the fault. A couple of weeks after I sent it to them, they returned it, and the fault was still there! Unfortunately my partner accidentally dropped the camera later and complete smashed it, so obviously couldn't return the camera after that happened. But overall was very unhappy with their service.

I also have similar horror stories with T-Dimension. I bought a Samsung S7 from them a few months ago and upon receiving the item, it was already unsealed. I then proceeded to experience problems with the phone and sent it back to them as it was under warranty. It's now been over 3 months since they've received the phone and are ignoring/not replying to my emails and holding my phone hostage.

Hopefully people will research T Dimension and see these stories from their unhappy buyers.

    • My phone is still in hostage too :( Sent over 15 emails and never replied. It is not helping when their reviews are so high on Product Review etc.. I hope you get your phone back eventually.
