$124 Mixed White Wine Dozen - K1, Leconfield, Richard Hamilton & Parker Just over $10 a Bottle @ Winedirect.com.au

10

We are all guilty of focusing too much on red wine with offers, so here is a ripper white wine dozen that is an example of one of our wine club packs. Please note that you don't have to subscribe to a wineclub subscription to get this pack, one off purchases more than welcome! Edit: you will be subscribed to the mailing list to receive special offers, but are free to unsubscribe at any time.

Four excellent whites here, in order from lightest to largesse. The Hamilton and K1 Sauv Blancs are both excellent examples from the Adelaide Hills. The K1 perhaps a touch riper, with apricotty notes joining the cut grass and Granny Smith apple. The Hamilton is a tough tighter with more emphasis on the greenery. The Leconfield Riesling earned its gold medal, offering fresh citrus and minerality along with excellent persistence. Finally, the Parker Chardonnay has a lovely mouthfeel and depth. Not too much oak here, creaminess, stonefruits and just a hint of grapefruit.

    @ 65% off RRP

How much is it off the normal selling price ?

    • To put that dozen together yourself, $198 so still saving $74 off our already discounted price on the wine.

To put that dozen together yourself, $198

        That's nowhere near 65% off…

Why put 65% off in the title if that's not what you are saving ???

        • off the RRP it sure is, if you were to purchase the wine from the winery. The luxury of not having to visit 4 different wineries to receive the wine is a bonus

        • @Dboc1987:

off the RRP it sure is,

So you normally sell these at RRP?

Because comparing to the RRP when you don't normally sell at RRP is against the law… Look it up on the ACCC website.

As always JV, if you don't wish to take the offer up, please feel free not to do so

As always JV, if you don't wish to take the offer up

I think it is important to highlight to other OzBargainers when there are misleading price comparisons and posting of prices that are not the real price…

Why don't you just post up the real price and the real saving in the first place?

Why should other people have to point that out to you?

          @jv:

          For once JV is right.

I'm not sure whether to take that as a compliment or not… :S

K1 Sauv Blanc is "RRP $22" - and yet your own website offers it for $17/bottle, therefore this claim of "RRP" is completely false and misleading, per what JV mentioned above.

    • We do not set the RRP of wines, the winery does and it is actually higher now, thank you for pointing that out

      http://www.winesbygeoffhardy.com.au/our-wines/k1/sauvignon-b…

      • We do not set the RRP of wines

If you do not normally sell at the RRP, but you compare to the RRP to claim a savings, you are misleading customers…

Look up the law around 'Two-price comparison advertising' on the ACCC website…

The ONLY reason you are comparing to RRP rather to your normal price is to trick people into believing they are saving more than they really are…
