20% off All Star Wars Related Items at Popcultcha Plus Free Shipping over $100

20

Stumbled across this, this morning - 20% off all Star Wars related items until Sunday 7th May as part of the May 4th festivities.

My pick is the Hot Toys 1/4 scale Boba Fett figure from Return of the Jedi by Hot Toys down to $480.

Been keeping an eye on prices for this and it never goes on sale anywhere (perhaps rightly so given the quality of Hot Toys products) so this is by far the cheapest anywhere!

Zing store at Miranda had this in stock today for $728, the heathens!

May the 4th be with you

Also, this is on special - not Star Wars related, but still $1,000 off

    • This life size R2D2 replica is $2000 off. You can add it to your cart to get the discount but apparently not supposed to lol.

This item is too heavy to check out through our online system, so you will need to call us during business hours on 1300 586 291 (Australian Callers) or +61 3 5240 7988 (International Callers) or email us at [email protected] to arrange a custom shipping quote. All Australian deliveries will be complimentary through our Freight Courier service.

      • Nice!

It doesn't say ho heavy these 1:1 models are.

  • this is my pick:

casted from the original helmet, $400 is a steal, it cost like $299 USD from the manufacturer excluding shipping.

disclosure: I have one already so I am bias :)

    • …this morning I was quibbling over buying three pairs of undies. At least I'll get the wear out of them.

Its not exactly Royal Dalton, but I hope for your sake its worth something in a few years time…

      • not sure about this particular helmet, but other licensed Star Wars props I've brought in the past (lightsabers, helmets etc), according to some ebay auctions anyway, value have tripled or more over the years………..

ie brought this one for like $400 probably 5 years ago:

        http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-EFX-REVEAL-LIGHTSABER-LUKE-SKYWA…

if I ever loose my job I guess selling it will tie me over for a few months :)

if you are looking to buy one for investment purpose/retention of value, then buy the limited editions one where only a set number will be produced, the lightsaber above was limited to 1000 pieces, this particular Vader helmet is not limited so it may not be worth much down the track, but yeah, most of them are probably junk that I won't be able to give away in the future :)

My thought is don't buy this sort of stuff purely with the expectation of it being worth more in the future. If you're willing to pay what it's worth to you now, do it and enjoy it now. If you go to sell it in the future and it's worth more than its a bonus.

At least that's my take on the subject with the 1/4 Boba Fett. I bought it to enjoy now and as my 3yo son is now a Star Wars fan, it'll be passed on to him when he's older.

That's my take anyway. Now I need to go look for more undies.

        • @Slave1:

lol unless I am on the brink of being bankrupt/homeless, I would never sell them!!!! like Darth Vader asking Luke to join the dark side kind of "NNNEEEEVVVVEEEERRRRR!!!!!!!!!" (although knowing some of them have gone up so much in value is definitely a bonus)

and yeah I only brought them because I liked them, com'on, I am sure every kid had dreamed of owning a lightsaber! :)

OTOH, I have probably a hundred of two of the Hasbro SW action figures which I have "collected" over the year (the post 1995 ones), except for a few rare ones, like I said previously, I probably won't be able to give them away………… :(
