Optus $40 12GB plan - something super similar?

Hello all,

Anyone know a similar plan to this?
My g/f arrives here on Friday from the US, she's bringing her iphone 6 which I've confirmed is the same model as Aus (surprisingly) so it'll work fine on our networks.

The Optus 12gb plan, with a heap of free data (spotify, google music, something else <I forget>) sounds quite good but that offer ends 2 days after she gets here.

I'd really like her to have a plan exceeding 7gb per month with some kind of free streaming, since she's accustomed to unlimited ATnT in the US.

Any suggestions of a decent data heavy plan? Sub $45 per month would be nice, at least 6 or 7GB

    (NOTE: I'd rather she gets to test out a network for at least a month before we sign some kind of contract, hence not snapping up the Optus deal now)

      Optus will extend the deal or will introduce a better one.

    Just checking but will she pass the requirements for a phone plan? Given she's new to the country?

        The pessimist in me says that is a really bad idea… At least for a plan anyway, ok for month-to-month

    just grab a prepaid. she can sign up for that herself with her US passport and Aussie Visa. Here's a good one: https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-mobile-prepaid-voucher-co… if you can pay for 3 months upfront. Otherwise you can do the same plan mth to mth

    For a prepaid option, Coles mobile is $40 for 7GB. Could probably do better but at least it's convenient?
