Looking for a great deal on Samsonite Cosmolite large (81cm) or similar.

Very light 3kg or less.

What is the new lighter model? I'm always confused with their models…
I have a early model skywheeler 81cm this weighs close to 7kg 2005?
They later deleted the latch mechanism on this bag and replaced with zippers, which makes it lighter.
I think my bag is no longer sold, I think the cosmolite would be its nearest replacement.
The models are confusing i think they sell different products in different countries and then they get brought in as grey imports confusing things more.

try strand bags they always seem to have decent specials too.
I've had a Samsonite hardshell 81cm that has been in use daily for ten years, it has been great, my wife wants me to trade it in on a new lighter version but I like the latches rather than the lightweight zippers on the newer ones. It has been repaired a couple of times under warranty and the repairs made the bag better than it was originally.
If buying this bag to go overseas I would claim the TRS on departure, and consider buying it thru the Myers ebay site thru the qantas mall which will give you QF points. Oh and claim it on your tax as well, if you travel for work.
