My Gas Torch-What Am I Doing Wrong?

Just tried to get my gas torch going again to work on my car. Bought a new hose for it as the old one was showing signs of wear.

The flame appears quite weak and does not put out much heat. I don't know what is wrong or what I am doing wrong. These pictures shows my setup:

and

This is what I have checked:
1. Tried it on two different gas bottles, both containing sufficient gas.
2. Turned tap on gas bottle fully open
3. Turned tap on gas torch handle fully open

Note: I am not using a regulator, don't need one right? Regulators only reduce gas pressure, not increase it right?

Any helpful suggestions out there that don't involve envelops or bikies!!

Thanks

No, you do not need a regulator for LPG.
I would be checking again to ensure that each one of your shut-off valves is fully open/not obstructed.
Wasps get into nice little holes like these over summer.
Take it all apart, check and re-assemble.

I think the gas jet is blocked either from dirt or buildup from crappy gas.
If you unscrew the upper section (tap and nozzle) from the handle then you can see the jet.
Depending on the size use a pin or fine wire to clean it out.

If that does not help the maybe disassemble the tap and check for dirt/buildup there.

    SOLVERED!!

That's why I wuv you guys! I took the torch apart and found a very very small orifice that I could not see thru. I had nothing in my workshop small enough to poke thru the hole. I reckon it was about 0.1mm in diameter, see photo!!
