Sony Acoustic Twin Turbo Circuit for enhanced sound quality.

Wouldn't the turbos drown out the music?

    • No but the V6 will.

Someone in marketing got paid big bucks to come up with that.

      • Yeah someone in the 80's did, revolutionised earphone design because the vents allowed for smaller drivers that delivered bigger bass.

        • …and called them acoustic twin turbos. yep.

    • not unless you tweak to BOV

Remind me of old days when I can afford my first Sony product

  • Power handling capacity: 50 nW

Do not plug it into a headphone amp :-P

  • Hi ultracheapasianguy, did you buy any of these earphones, if you did what is the Sony product code on the packaging?

The image on the Coles website doesn't seem to match any of the earphones on the Sony Australia website.

    • That's becaiuse these earphones are a discontinued model. The model number is MDR-E818LP

      • Coles hasn't updated the model on the website

        • They're a supermarket; why would they? To them, they're just a pair of cheap earphones. I know the model number of these because I had a few pairs of these when I was younger (and a massive Sony fangirl when it comes to portable audio)

        • @kerfuffle: wasn't that obvious?

    Welcome to OzBargain. :)

    As for the headphones-
    Gawk
    They will hurt your years…

  • With mic or without?

  • Just bought one but the quality seems pretty bad.

  • Retro throwback, these are identical sans some slight colour changes to those on my 90's tape walkman

Get Xiaomi piston fresh edition from GB for about $1 extra. Much better, trust me.

I've had these among other Sony in-ears and they are crap. There's no noise isolation, and it doesn't sound as good as cheap Pistons.

Yep have to agree here the fresh or basic pistons are great BFYB.

    • :( Already regret buying it :(
