ATM deposit question

Can I deposit money at the Westpac ATM into my ING account? I've looked everywhere on the westpac FAQs and can't find anything about that.

    I doubt it

Best way to do it would be at a post office via Bank @ Post

    • Just a warning… I did this for Citibank and it took 4 business days to process.

      • ING via Aust Post is instant.

      • That's interesting. My Citibank deposit last Thursday was processed the same day so it must be inconsistent.

According to the website they expect us to allow 48 hours for Bank@Post (https://www.citibank.com.au/aus/banking/access.htm).

      • Citibank cash deposits for me are also instant, even at a small LPO in a country area.

The only thing that has taken time has been the odd cheque I've deposited, which takes time anyway.

You don't have to look at the Westpac FAQs, you need to look at ING FAQs. https://www.ingdirect.com.au/faq-result.html?faqid=7282

How do I work the radio on my Toyota Yaris? I just read the manual for a Mitsubishi Lancer and it doesn't mention anything!? What is this sorcery?

Are you sure you're a guy? Guys don't need to read manuals - the vibe of the contents transfers to us via our maleness. The more male you are, the more expert you will be.

  • Either deposit into Westpac and transfer to ING, or just go and deposit at the post office.

  • no.

  • nope, use Auspost.

  • Bank@Post, Funds available Instantly. You can even withdraw from one card and ask to have the funds deposited into your ING without handling cash.

  • Over the counter only, usually with deposit book

  • Deposits can't even be made to a Bank of Melbourne account from a Westpac ATM, even though BoM is a wholly owned subsidiary of Westpac.
