Need suggestions about the entertainment box for my Samsung smart tv.The tv itself has pretty good interface, but I think a tv box will provide better experience.
Though i am planning to buy PS4 pro, is a TV box worth the money? or are there any other alternatives that I dont know of!?

If you have a series 9 you can probably afford a Nvidia Shield. That's the best box available. Mibox is the cheaper alternative. Normal Android boxes struggle with the amount of 4k content available.
Agreed, go for Nvidia Shield. It's a bit expensive but it is the best indeed.
What you think of using Kodi through Raspberry Pi? is it good enough to stream 4k?
It wont support Netflix or YouTube 4k. It might work with some Kodi add ons if there are any available but I reckon performance would be sketchy at best.
Raspberry Pi is a modder/hackers toy, any of the Chinese Android TV boxes are better equipped for media and cost around the same money (especially after you add on all the extras required to run a Pi) without requiring your time and effort to set up and maintain.
Ps4's media player sucks, doesn't play everything
Plug in an old laptop or pc with hdmi out.
Install kodi with a few addons.
