Not sure on international or Sydney lounges, but I had no issues getting myself, my wife and 6yr old son into the domestic lounge in Canberra using the 2 passes from my credit card.

    Answer is here: https://www.qantas.com/travel/airlines/qantas-club-lounge-ac…

    Qantas owned and operated lounge
0-3 years Not counted as a child guest
4 to 17 years 2 not counted as guest
    18 and over adult guest

In other words, you can bring in your kids with no issues.

    • I've read that too, but that is for Qantas club member, I am not a club member and only have an invite, on the back of the invite it states only allow one person… I hope you are right

      • You should hop on to the Qantas website and wait for the online chat box to pop up. You can then ask them and confirm.

        • chat box sounds like a good idea

It'll depend on the staff working there at the time. I would say maybe.

I'm sure they aren't roudy but last time I was in the lounge there were little kids running around everywhere. It was driving me and the lady sitting next to me nuts.

Parents did nothing to stop them.

I doubt live chat will be much help.

  • My wife and I tried bringing 2 kids (5 and 7) in using the free lounge passes and they wouldnt budge. Lucky I had another 2. Wouldnt be a Ozbargainer if I didnt try lol

I had two complimentary passes (international). Entered the business class lounge with my daughter (lower end of the "4 to 17 years") and was told she should have her own separate pass, but she would make an exception this time. So try your luck - and if they don't let you in, just lie down on the floor United Airlines style.

    • 'lie down the floor United American style' so Ozbargain way :)

  • Yea lounges are pretty anal about bringing extra guest(s) because it is also a profit driven part of the business. I remember when I was younger (teens), my parents tried to sneak me into an airport lounge only to be rejected. So while they were enjoying Rose and tea cakes, I was rocking the Big Mac in another part of the airport.

Hope not - expect some peace & quiet - not noisy kids.

    • if these lounges really cared about the frequent flyers they shouldn't give out invites that easily…

  • I gave my brother-in-law 2 passes for Xmas and he had no problem bringing in his wife and two kids.
