    Get PC3 and buy a new graphics card, RX480 or 1060

    • Agreed with getting PC3 but get GTX 1050Ti or preferably if money permits RX 580 4GB (or RX 480 4GB if cheaper).

      With the RX 480/580 4GB you'll be 1920x1080 on high/ultra settings at 60FPS for most games.

      • If I was to leave the twin frozr GTX 770, How would that go for the meantime? I could probably afford a RX480 so it wouldnt be too much out of my budget

        • You can sell off the GTX 770 for perhaps more than $120 dollars on ebay.

          The 770 is only half as capable as the RX480.

          and then I'd buy the Gigabyte Radeon RX 480 G1 Gaming 4GB for $259 from UMART.

          The guy just got back to me he has actually just upgraded to a R9 380X, He has changed the price to by adding another $30 So PC3 is now $480

        • @Sacco07:

          R9 380x is actually a pretty decent card. I had a R9 380 before I got my GTX 1060.

          It's pretty good for 1080p gaming.

        • @scrimshaw:
          Awesome!In all honesty im pretty happy with 1080p gaming as long as I can get 60 FPS on most AAA titles at med-high settings.
          In terms of the pricing is it pretty cheap?

          @Sacco07:

          Yeah, it's a pretty nice machine. It also has room for processor upgrade to Core i7-3770, not that I would recommend (it's not a significant increase), but overall it has a strong CPU and decent GPU.

          it's capable of playing most titles today at 60fps (just play on Medium).

        • @scrimshaw:
          Great! Thanks for that!

        • @scrimshaw:

          Hi scrimshaw,

          What's a build you would suggest for gaming (casual gamer) and general use. As I am a uni student, I tend to have more then 6 windows open to multi task and etc. My budget is around $500-650 and this is my first time building a PC. So any suggestions and links would help.
          (Looking for 60fps on most AAA titles. I have a AOC 1080p monitor.
          Cheers

          @LEGEND27:

          go to Facebook swap pages / or OCAU Swap and Sell

          buy a second hand Ivy Bridge or Haswell CPU, Motherboard and RAM combo for about $250

          Buy a second hand GTX 1060 that some crypto miner has used before for $280 (but no more)

          that should get you a core i5 + GTX 1060 system which should work out cheaper than buying equivalent new parts by about 50 percent.

          Easier said than done though, you will have to do a lot of googling and searching (and a lot of waiting).

        • @scrimshaw: Alright thanks man!

        • @scrimshaw:

          If I was purchase most of the parts new. What would be your optimal gaming build on https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/
          I will probably buy the graphics card second hand. Could you try keep it between 500-650

          No GPU, no OS, no network card.

        • @scrimshaw:

          Sweet man! Thanks for the huge help, I'll be going for this build, and as for GPU what would you recommend? GTX 1060 or something else? Did some research and realised that most of the GPU's are sold out because of mining…so obviously there's waiting and such. Thanks for the help so far, much appreciated
