    Jenee do 70gb for $74

  • I have been with these guys for some months now. I am on the 50GB plan. Nothing to complain works well for me at home and at the office (CBD).

  • What happens when you go over does it stop or is it charged per mb ect ?

" If you run out of your 70 GB data limit you
can choose to top up your data by purchasing a Top up credit. You can top up 500 MB for $5 or 1 GB for $10. OVO Data Roaming
can be bought on your OVO Dashboard for $15 or $30."

It stops, no bill shock like Jeenee etc.
It also means you can utilise the full 70GB without worrying about going over.

Vivid Wireless offers unlimited plan for $10 more ..https://www.vividwireless.com.au/plans

Key question: which telecompany‘s network are they using?

  • OK, 10 MB is fine for most use..yes 4G speed gives you like 4K Netflix streaming , but heck, it costs 7-10 GB data per movie and 70GB won't last you long. And for one, all mobile network has its weak spot, if your reception is bad for Vividwirless, as OVO is on Optus too, will you get better reception just because it is not capped speed ?

You're forgetting Vivid is limited to the 2300mhz network.

Also for those who aren't picking this to replace home internet, it's not really portable because it's locked to the Vivid modem. I mean sure you can technically make it portable but what a hassle.

      • Right, I didn't forget, I don't know that… lol. OK you have fair point. So I would say for these ( like me ) who can have good 2300mhz reception and use huge amount of data .. Vivid can be a good option while you wait for NBN…

    OVO like kanye west OVO?

  • I probably need at least 200gb per month. It wont be long until mobile data will be preferable to the NBN.

I am not gettin NBN (to the node) until Jan-June 2019. ADSL2+ isnt great, but at least I have it better than a lot of others.

Looked at Vivid, but its not any better than ADSL2+ for me.

    Good 2nd post OP.

Any questions. Shoot folks - but looks like the community is already on top of the key ones.

The key benefits of ovo are:
    - no overage / auto top up
    - 30 day auto recharge (you can turn that off)
    - data fre streaming of sport and radio (triple m and hit FM ) on ovoplay - play.ovo.com.au
    - No device / network (bands) restrictions
    - fans first promise
    - Aussie company run by me and I only hire good people. Lawrence who runs my customer service team is awesome and his team are amazing. All based in sydney, and keen to help.
    - always improving. We really listen to your feedback so go for it.

    Cheers

  • If I use all the data within 20 days can I recharge then or do I have to wait until the 30 days is up?

    • 30 days Amos.

      Rgds

      • Thanks mate. The only logical reason I could think of is that optus prevents it. I guess two Sims with auto recharge turned off shall do the trick.
