Anime Figurines

Hi guys. First post here.
Can anyone tell me if Paddy's Markets in Sydney sell anime figurines?
Any help would be very appreciated.
Thankyou.

  • If you're after the nendoroids I think EB is starting to stock them, not a wide range though. If you're after the actual figurines and not the chibi versions than I have no idea.

  • I think probably 1 or 2? But they don't look genuine though..

  • No, you wont get any anime figures in Paddy's market.

However if you up above level, look for Game Infinity. They sells some Japanese anime stuff. Though not sure if they are still around as the last time I was there about 8 years ago.

Also you can try Hobby Co in QVB.

    • how yes, there not open to visitors anymore & have been removed from the upper floor, though their pricey & do sell a wide range of other available jap goods like dragon toys/dragonballz mega man x-men or same manga if you joy it.I’ve been several times & were okay with it but not overall impressed as it can be horrendous to stay or ask for things even to suss out?
Apparently, Chris , a teammate is there still in paddy’s, but not at the former shop!can one of yours ask about this for me of. One day I’d hope to hired by them like would somehow. lol 😝 whilst accustomed to their facility back-ways. Any helper ?

    • Formerly, gameinfinity had with Age of Wonders game they'd with, & I thought they were Polish?

I don't know how genuine anime figures would be at sydney markets but you could try hobbyco, kinokuniya, anime kaika, anime at abbotsford. Websites that sell anime figurines: Madman, Japan toys, animeworks, tamarket. If you go to conventions there would be many stores selling anime figurines though quite expensive.

    • Thankyou.

    • Mwave also sells figurine. Just found out about it last night.

  • You are definitely not going to get legitimate figures at a market, they will primarily be bootlegs. Even at conventions like Supanova that are focussed on collectibles, bootlegs are always represented, so a market is going to be way worse.

I would buy online from a trusted seller, or only go to trusted collectible/comic shops. Make sure you check the quality of the figures and the details of the boxes to identify bootlegs. Zing will have genuine products but their range of Japanese stuff is pretty limited. Anime on Abbostford and Anime Kaika are legit and we have a broader range.

    • Yeah I know they probably be bootlegs but I don't wanna spend $200 a pop for genuine a.

      • In that case, I'd just be heading to ebay and buying the cheapest result for whatever figure you're after - that'll definitely be a bootleg.

  • I remember seeing some there a few years back, would still imagine there would be some, but as other people say I'd bet my money they're boot legs. Might want to check out Game Traders, one near where I am has heaps of figures, good quality ones as well I think.
