Since yesterday being "flooded" with Very high number of email notifications re [OzBargain] Competition Front Page posts

G'day fellow OzBargainers, :)

Since yesterday I am receiving a Very high number of email notifications re [OzBargain] Competition Front Page posts
This Very high number has never happened before, and it even includes Nov'2016 comps.

Maybe there are a lot of new members entering old comps, Or?
But some of those Comps only have 1 or 2 up votes, so that doesn't ring true.

May be there has been an unforseen consequence to to an OzBargain software change?

Is anyone getting the same?

Does anyone know what is going on?

    I think it's the cause, as we did updated how front page of competitions is calculated (from number of entrants rather just just votes). We will try to resolve it.

    The front page notification was not meant to include competitions older than a day, a fix has just been rolled out. Sorry about the flood of emails!

      Just for reference, the front page change in question was announced here. We are now using minimum of 15 entries (with exception of fast-rising comps) instead of min 5 votes.
