Best Place to Purchase Gold/Diamond Jewellery

Hello everyone

I'm an Indian student & I'll be going back to my country for vacation. I would like to purchase some gold/diamond jewellery for my mother as Indian Mothers value them slot.

Having said that I'd like to know the best place in Melbourne to purchase such jewellery at an affordable price.

      Your best bet would be China town, Singapore or India lol

    Australian gold jewellery is mostly 9ct or 18ct. By comparison I would have thought that Indian gold jewellery is more valued by people living in India because it has a 22ct gold content. If you're looking for cheaper prices then obviously 2nd hand (cash converters or pawn shops) and have it polished up so that it looks new. But the lesser gold content will possibly always be a factor to consider. I'd not pay the advertised price with the 2nd hand places. I've been told that it can take up to 3 years to sell jewellery from those places and they'd often just like to move it on and get their money back. Depends what sort of piece it is obviously!

    Go to Springvale as you are in Melbourne, all Asian Jewellery shops have 9ct,18ct or 24ct gold with much cheaper prices :)
