Finally, the Wenger watch is a price that Arsene himself would consider paying.

There's enough space in their trophy cabinet for a few.

      • +2

They have a cabinet? A bit asperational isn't it?

        • +1

Damn it, they have just won the FA Cup.

Hmmm this or the Victorinox …. This has stainless steel bezel and I presume they have similar mechanisms ?

    • The white-dial Victorinox is nice but I detest the strap and would replace it. This Wenger has a silicon strap which I would accept. I have a Claude Bernard with a silicon strap. Unlike the Victorinox, this Wenger's window is Mineral Crystal and not Sapphire Crystal. I don't consider that a deal-breaker for this type of watch because the bezel is more prominent than the window,

  • Change title, it is misleading

"The new law is expected to enter into effect on Jan 1, 2017. From then on, all "Swiss Made" watches will have to be manufactured in compliance with the new industry ordinance: the “Swiss Made” designation will no longer apply to the just watch movement, but will apply instead to the entire watch (with a possible exception of the strap/bracelet), whereas at least 60% of the watch’s manufacturing costs will have to be realized in Switzerland, with the watch, of course, also being assembled there. A jump from 50 to 60 percent may not sound like much – especially if we consider that it will have taken nearly an entire decade for the legislative organizations to conceive, approve, and implement the updates – but it will make a difference."

    • To be fair this is a 2013 model that complies with the law as set out in 2013.

It does actually say "swiss made" on the dial.

If I buy a car made in 2013, then it was made according to the regulations in 2013, I dont expect them to comply with the law 5 yrs into the future.

      • it's a 2013 model not made in 2013….Watches aren't like mobile phones there aren't 2015, 2016, 2017 models of the same watches. Made in and Model Year are 2 different things. A 2013 model watch can still be manufactured this year, like many rolex's pateks and so on.

Such as the Rolex Explorer 2 and so on.

    • I accept responsibility* for my title and it is definitely not misleading.

*Except I cannot close the space between $ and US or AU.

  • Change title, it is misleading

Wenger Watches are made in Switzerland. The company's head office is located in Delémont Switzerland. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wenger

    • I don't find it misleading …… What are they going to do list every country a company was made in ? And then assembled .

I can understand the Swiss are touchy about Swiss movement in Chinese watch and people assume it was made in Switzerland …… That's where branding comes in ….Rolex or omega assembled in China ….they wouldn't risk it ….

Tough times when the movements are the same and price difference is where case is made ….

    • I never knew head office = where everything is made. So you're telling me Nike's head office is in USA therefore their shoes are made in USA?

      • I demonstrated Wikipedia confirms Wenger watches are made in Switzerland. Wenger know the rules concerning stating Swiss Made on watches. This one is Swiss Made. My title is not misleading.

  • Still available at this price.

    cheap crappy watch

  • Price reduced to US$47.50 + US$6.49 Shipping = US$53.99 = ~AU$7.96. I can't edit the title and apparently I may not post afresh because this post is not yet 45 days old.
