Hi I'm looking for web TV box, for a bedroom with bad antenna reception. Can't afford another Apple TV, so wanted some recommendations for players under $65….
Something that doesn't have an utterly terrible Android interface…and a remote. (a bonus would be a PVR in it too, but I'm probably dreaming at that price point)

For $10 more than OP's budget, it's well worth it. I got a cheap ass TV box for $40 and it died after using it 10 times as it kept overheating.
get one of those android tv OS ones with chromeacst support

How about Chromecast, you can play it on phone and through it on TV. I have chromecast 2 and is perfect. I also have Apple Tv which now I hardly use.
+1 for the Chromecast, they're dead easy to setup and you use your phone as the remote control.

Chromecast works, but it isn't designed specific for Apple's ecosystem and has its drawbacks.

I have iPhone and been using Chromecast since it came out with NO issues if you only want to cast movies, photos, etc.

Edit: Oops under $65.. I bought a generic android box off eBay for $30 auction - waiting for it to arrive. Will let you know how it is when it arrives
