PSA: Product Recall - Moretti and Click branded Oil Heaters

Hello,

Chances might be slim, but I would hate a fellow OZB getting injured because I didn't take the time to share here. Apologies if we are not meant to.

I saw that Moretti and Click Oil Heaters have been recalled in the paper today due to a "manufacturing defect…allowing hot oil to spray out".

I've uploaded a photo of the recall.

    I had two of these, returned them two weeks ago to Bunnings. They refused for about 20 minutes to give a cash refund insisting on a store credit.

    Needless to say.. I left with Mr cash refund in the end.

      I guess they required a receipt? I have two but not sure if I still have the receipt and it doesn't look like they have any replacements for oil heaters.

      Kmart seem to have similar priced ones so would look to replace with those and have very little use for Bunnings credit.

        Yeah.. They said 'we need the receipt'.

        Unfortunately for them they are a Bunnings exclusive brand - so no doubts about whether I bought them from bunnings.

        As I said, they gave me a refund in the end. I bought two panel heathers from TGG - I did not want to buy another one from Bunnings.
