Meal prep glass containers

Hi all, I've been doing a lot of meal prep lately; enough to justify purchasing the nicer glass meal containers. I'm looking for something affordable but also a decent quality. I have a few I bought knocked down at foodland with really great sturdy latches.

Any suggestions?

I have a bunch from IKEA that are pretty much bulletproof. Glass and a good lid - http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/00328521/. Might be worth a shot if you have an IKEA nearby.

    • With what calibre rounds have you tested them?

      • 0.38 calibre. Best bang for your buck, the 0.45 are never on sale.

Yeah the ikea ones have been my go-to as well, specifically this one for lunches:

      • FYI I've snapped off a plastic edge on the lid of one of these…but it was operator error. Thought the lid was on flush/properly when it wasn't and tried to clip one side on…it snapped off at the fold/joint.

  • I like the Decor ones like this: https://www.bigw.com.au/product/decor-match-ups-realseal-600…

Lots of sizes available in supermarkets. I prefer that kind of seal to the clip ones as I find it easier to open and close, but if you like clips go for it.

    • Ive got these ones as well, bought from woolies when they were marked down (40 or 50% off IIRC). They are top quality and havent had any issues with them as of yet. Heaps of sizes as well and the colour coded makes them easy to find which size youre after

  • Miniso Japan just opened up in The Galleries Sydney and it has great quality items for great prices.

Check them out as they will be opening more stores in Australia.

It's like a bargain shop but japanese quality so it is great.

Saw the glass food containers for $3.99 each just last week.
