Any Place to Buy Busted Gaming Laptops?

I want a gaming laptop that is broken but works fine using remote access eg. the screen is busted or the keyboard is busted - anything busted is fine as long as it works remotely.

After watching eBay for a while it seems broken gaming laptops are not common. Any ideas where to look other ebay or Gumtree?

http://forums.overclockers.com.au/ has a sell/trade section. I've picked up quite a bit of 2nd hand hardware from there,

    • Yup ocau is great!

  • Would a raspberry be an option for remote access?

    https://www.graysonline.com/

    They sometimes have Seconds/Warranty Returns/Refurbished Alienware Laptops & PC's

    Example (not seconds, but reconditioned/refurbished)
    http://www.graysonline.com/sale/2164763/computers-it-equipme…

Grays are a professional Auction site - I have purchased dozens of PC's, Laptops, monitors, servers, NAS's's's from them over the years. Having said that, I've stuck with Dell mainly, for everything.

All of their Auctions attract Shipping (expensive) and a Buyers Premium (fee) that is approx 15-17.5% of the end Auction price. So make sure you figure that in.

I've paid too much for some items in the past, (as is the case sometimes with Auctions) but I've also purchased more than my fair share of absolute bargains. Eg. I've purchased many XPS towers and Laptops for approx $400-$600, but like any auction site, its all about the timing.

My entire office is made up of Reconditioned Grays PC's, Dell Optiplex 980's, 990's, Dell AIO 9120's, Dell Monitors, Dell switches, Dell servers. A lot of them, being refurbished, also include a Dell Warranty, or I can also buy a separate warranty if needed (I did for a SAN recently) - All of the PC's I purchase has a Windows OS license. Never had a piece of equipment experience a major failure yet.

    FYI - I don't work for Grays

    Hope this helps

Also, been buying a few AIO PC's and iPads from http://www.reboot-it.com.au recently - Bit more expensive, but good refurbished hardware.

    They may have something.
