  • How much is it normally?

    • $98.77 > $77.00

      That's roughly the normal price.
The shipping alone kills it immediately.

      $4.50 cheaper from Gameology delivered.

A couple dollars cheaper with free deliver from Boardom if you live in Canberra or pickup from Gameology in Victoria.

It's also not a great game but that's more subjective.

  • a great game at a great price!

Its $73.95 here if you can pick up in Victoria

Yeah it's not that great a deal. Can I recommend the OP review www.boardgamesearch.com.au before posting re cheapest boardgame prices. It is cheaper elsewhere (74.90 at Boardom and 73.95 Gameology). These are also regular prices not sale prices.

Generally speaking Gameology is almost always cheapest, although ozgameshop is very competitive, especially as they offer free shipping over $50. I do like Zing as a store, but prices are not their strong suit. The other listed games are also beaten in price by other companies, except Cosmic Encounter which is actually a good deal (eg $72 five tribes at ozgameshop with free shipping, $47 regular price for ticket to ride first journey, plus beaten by Games Empire at $45, another great game shop). Plus you get 5% back in player points from ozgameshop which are easy to redeem in future purchases (so assuming you are likely to buy in future the price of the game is actually 95% of the listed price).

For anyone reading I'd avoid Games Paradise like the plague (even though their games on sale are usually quite cheap). I've only ordered from them twice. Once several games came damaged and the second time one game never arrived. Had to claim back on credit card as they never responded to my emails.

    • yeah i know about boardgamesearch as i own many games. theyre both +$10 shipping for the sites you listed for dead of winter etc.

      • Yes but the point is both pick up prices and delivery prices are cheaper from places other than Zing. Eg $77 + 8.10 = $85.10 vs $84.90 and $83.95. I suppose if you are comparing the fact that people may want to pick-up from Zing and those stores are only in certain states (eg a WA person could not pick up from Boardom) then you can say that it's cheaper to pick-up from Zing as $77 than pay for delivery for $84.90. Of course this is flat rate shipping as well, so if you're interested in more than one game you'll plan accordingly anyway. There's also the 5% first time Facebook coupon for Gameology that many may not have used as well.

Ozgameshop has free shipping (on over $50) so it's $5 cheaper to have it delivered to you than pick it up from Zing. This is normal price vs sale price. When you factor in the regular sales at ozgameshop where they often have 10-20% off, and the 5% back in player points, it's a much better deal to buy from them (either then when they have a sale), or now without the sale. I don't know if you're affiliated with Zing and that's why you're still suggesting this is a good deal, but it's factually inaccurate to describe it as such.
