My girlfriend's been looking to buy a Samsung S7 some time this year, but I'm wondering if you guys know if the phone will drop any further any time soon, or if it'll drop at all this year.

I've got an s6edge + just got the nougat update. It's basically the s8's software. It feels awesome.
Back to the topic though yeah it will drop down but just be patient…maybe June sales..

Samsung phones, like other Android devices, don't typically hold their value too well. It'll continue to trend downwards over time - it's a matter of balancing the negatives of waiting for it against the positives of saving money.
