With All Blackvue DR450 and DR650S Series Purchases

Link to deal and prices ???

  • Thanks for the reply. Our site is www.linelink.com.au and the DR450 (16Gb) is $228 (Shipped)and the DR650S (16Gb) is $347 (Shipped). Whilst these prices are for 16Gb variants, you can also purchase these models in 32Gb, 64Gb and 128Gb. We only ship genuine Blackvue SD cards too unlike many other resellers. The RRP on the Power Magic Pro is $69 however we normally sell it for $52 (Shipped).

Some people will ask what the benefit of this little device is? In order to utilise a Parking mode or Motion detection feature on a Dash Cam, the unit requires constant power. This constant power can come from your vehicle via a hardwire kit such as the Power Magic Pro. The Power Magic Pro is a battery management tool that powers your Dash Cam while monitoring the voltages being output by your car battery to ensure it stays healthy and doesn't go flat. Power Magic Pro checks the health of your battery and has a pre-set “cutoff” point. If the battery falls to that point the Power Magic Pro will cut power to the Dash Cam to ensure your battery doesn't go flat.

Just FYI my 650S-2CH got about 6hours of continuous recording in parking mode with this little device set to 12V cutoff

    • It'll depend on a lot of variables - mostly battery, charge and standby usage (LEDs etc.) - Mine lasts a few days without cutting out, but just leaving the HIDs on for a minute after turning the car off can be enough to trigger the cutout.
The PMP isn't the best device on the market for this job tbh - the camera is pretty awesome though!

With that said, it seems to be a pretty good deal - I'll likely buy one for the wifey.

Edit: I presumed the DR650S starting price to be a 2CH (wrong) - 2CH starts at $495, which is $86 more than I paid for the last one :-(

Probably where OP got it from originally!

The PMP isn't worth $69, and along with your uncompetitive dashcam prices, it isn't a deal. Now, if you chucked in a blackvue b112 battery pack for free…

  • Negging because lower prices elsewhere.
