Seeking an Outdoor Dog Bed Suitable for Two Labradors

Hi,

Been trying to find one of those raised dog beds on a steel frame big enough to support 60kgs total weight.

I've tried giving them a bed each, but they just try to snuggle up together and can't fit!

They also love to tear holes in things, so the more durable the material the better… Maybe hessian?

Size would probably have to be a bit more than 1m x 1m.

Any suggestions?

In the past, I've used one of those mini trampolines (or "rebounders" as they used to be called) as a bed for larger dogs - something like this: https://www.bigw.com.au/product/fila-fitness-trampoline/p/WC… . You used to be able to get secondhand ones quite cheaply. They normally have a heavy duty frame and have a maximum rating of 100kg but are about 3ft across, so not sure whether it would be quite big enough for two dogs.

    • Oh that's a great idea! Even the one you've posted is cheaper than most dog beds I've seen online in pet stores. I'll start searching.

  • Hessian would probably be the least durable. One hole and it's doomed.

    • Wouldn't one hole doom all available cover options? What would be the most durable? I really have no clue.

      Dogs can't be outside?

      • But the TV is inside, and so is Game of Thrones

  • i built my dog a 4x4 timber deck to nap on, he absolutely loves it

      Your dog can drive?

  • Depending on your budget Kuranda make sturdy, durable beds. They last but are pricy to start with.
