Any network admins & IT techies give their feedback on Server 2016?
Looking to upgrade from 2012 R2 Essentials to 2016 Essentials
Small business environment

    Any reason to upgrade? Specific feature or something?

    I haven't tried but I find that most upgrades tend to break things. Small businesses may not be as critical as larger ones though. You can always play around with it in a virtual environment.

      Going to buy a new PC to install it on, so all files will be transferred

    2016 is fine, they are pushing more and more towards server environments without a GUI, but the GUI is available as an option to install if you want it.

    new install… go for 2016… no need to upgrade from 2012 just for the sake of upgrade.
