I thought it would be a good idea to have an "introduce yourself" forum. This is the soapbox where you can tell everyone who you are, where are you from, what brought you here, what were your favourite bargains, what's your "speciality" in bargain hunting, etc.
Let me be the first to start :)
My name is Scott. Living in Sydney with wife and kids (a 2 year-old and another one coming in 4 months). I am here because — well, long story short. I started OzBargainBlog (under a different URL) 18 months ago to share some of the great deals with friends, and it turns out to be actually useful. Moreover, heaps of people sent me their own great bargains. I thought, maybe all the Aussie bargain hunters can collaborate, so boom! This site was born.
I usually consider myself "cheap" (but was humbled a few times by some people who wrote me tips :), and I love things that are cheap or free. A trained software engineer, and computers and gadgets are definitely my favourites (although "need vs. want" consciousness usually knocks me back when I was attempting to click on the "Add to Cart" button).
No "speciality" really, except for passing on and rephrasing what I've read elsewhere :)
