Good Quality Genuine Leather Belts That Aren't Going to Bankrupt Me!

Ozbargainers!

Am in dire need of a good quality leather belt, kind of sick of the cheap, bad quality ''leather" ones that fray and split after a few months..

Any suggestions on where to get some cheap good quality leather I would highly appreciate it! Seems to be a whole bunch of online aussie leather shops but just not sure which ones decent enough/trustworthy.

Ta!

  • I bought one of these for $19 delivered. 2 months ago

it's super long (but leather so you can cut it). and so far so good.

    • Not very long if you ar a size 42

      • I can't even

    • These aren't exactly cheap…

      • You said a good quality leather belt so $60 to $80 is about right.

What you probably meant to say is a cheap bonded leather belt

  • +1

A few advertised in Aldi this week.

  • Don't buy junk on the internet or from the shopping center, buy things made properly, buy from an Australian saddlemaker

    For shoes http://www.herringshoes.co.uk

Go to a local market often a quality guy there.

    • buy from an Australian saddlemaker

So why then promote a UK site for shoes?

      • Because they are quality products, most of the men's shoes or belts you find in shopping centres even the expensive ones are cheaply/poorly made, do you know any companies that make men's shoes in Australia?

  • Rivers. Or a Levi belt stockist.

  • Thanks for the cas suggestions so far peeps!! I've been looking at RM Williams, one of their cheaper ones, they're running about $70-80, anyoje recommend/not recommend? Here's the link http://www.rmwilliams.com.au/1-1%2F2--3-piece-solid-hide-bel…

NB cheaper than $100 at other RM stockists

    • If you're ok spending that kind of money then I recommend a belt from suitsupply. You will not be disappointed, but even if you were, they have free returns

  • Going to a factory outlet for RMW could save you money. Rossi stuff is almost as good for a lower price and you don't look like a politician.
Also the Indian cattle ban could make leather more expensive in coming years so it might be a good time to stock up.

  • I bought a genuine leather belt off AliExpress just for kicks one day as I was also looking. Think it cost me around $8. Seriously the best quality belt I have ever owned. Only issue is the 3 week wait.

It needed trimming but here's the tip…Do it from the buckle end. Just about every buckle is removeable (go check out a few belts at your local menswear shop) which means you do a neatish cut & pop the buckle back on.

  • My local (northern Melb suburbs) "$2" shop has them for $6 and they seem to be good quality, if a little thick (and therefore a bit stiff initially).

  • You sure it's leather?

  • Uniqlo has great leather belts for approx $40
