What Cards Have Instant Transaction Reporting?

I have a cba credit card and am looking to switch to another provider.

Something I didn't realise was unique to cba was how quickly transactions show up on my internet banking statement. When I make a payment on a cba card, it shows up instantly on Netbank as a pending transaction, whereas on an anz credit card it takes days. I really like this feature as it means I can confirm whether transactions have gone through properly (e.g. charged the right amount, double charged due to a bad tap and pay, etc) or just pick up dodgy transactions quicker.

Does anyone know of other credit cards which have this instant reporting feature? Or can confirm whether or not their credit card has it? I'm particularly interested in whether Amex cards do.

Don't know about CCs but Macquarie's DC pushes an alert to my phone right after I do a tap.

CBA, St George, pretty sure NAB has real time processing as well.
AMEX, AMEX do not, not sure about bank issued AMEX

"AMEX" does and has for well over a year. Citi, NAB, CBA, ING, 28 Degrees all do as well

you get the iPhone notification, but does it show on your account instantly?

My Amex Essentials does. When I login to amex.com.au, there is a pending transaction section that tells me all the pending transactions, including transactions that may not even show up on my statement.

The AMEX App certainly shows "pending transactions".

Last I checked, the amex app and site show it almost instantly.

If it's over your defined purchase alert limit you also get an email. Takes less than a minute usually.

With the Amex app on your phone you can get a pop-up alert for every transaction. You're notified within seconds.

  • My ING card is pretty much instant

Can confirm Westpac android app shows pending transactions.

From the ones I have tried, I think it is basically just ANZ who don't now.
