Best Kathmandu/Northface Men's Jackets? Looking to Buy a Good Thermal/Wind-Breaker Jacket!

Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has good suggestions for a men's jacket to be used in Winter. Preferably a windbreaker and a thermal one! (not sure if they exist). Also, don't really like the smell of down jackets!

I've had a look online and a lot of the suggestions are not available in AUS stores!

Edit: I quite like the Patagonia Men's Torrentshell Jacket. Not sure if Patagonia is well-liked in AUS?

Cheers

    You want something like this

The hard part is trying to get it at OZB price.

What kind of smell does down jacket have?

  • Where do you live? Australian winter is far from "cold", cool at most in most places.

    • Says the guy from Brisbane.

Plenty of Australians have to deal with cold in winter - eg all Melbournians, Tasmanians, Canberrans, to name a few.

      • Brisbane is very warm, but I lived in Melb before and it wasn't that cold at night. I'm sure Tasmania and Canberra are much colder, but low chances OP lived there, statistically speaking. To buy this $500 jacket that was offered here you would need to live in Switzerland.

    • I live in Sydney. Yeah it's not that cold but my partner works late into the night and it gets chilly coming back home!

ALDI should have their winter sale soon; down jackets for around $70 IIRC

    • Great thanks! I'll keep a look out
