Dan Murphy's Vintec Penfolds Sale Cashrewards DECLINED (Update in comments)

I just logged in to my Cash Rewards account to see that my Vintec Penfolds order from Chinese New Year in January has been declined by Cash Rewards. It should have been a decent cash back of $60-80 or so, so I am very disappointed to see that it has been declined. Is there a dispute process I can enter? Why would it be declined?

TIA

    Per the Cashrewards FAQ

My Cashback pending amount was changed back to zero or declined and never confirmed?

If this is the case it usually means that the retailer has declined your Cashback for some reason. We are not usually informed of the reason why a retailer might decline a transaction – but common reasons are as follows:

    • The purchase (or part of the order) has been returned or cancelled.
    • Although the retailer has tracked your transaction they have decided that it didn’t qualify under their terms.
    • A coupon code was used that was not listed on the Cashrewards website in which case rewards may not be payable.

If this has happened, and you cannot think of the reason why your Cashback has been declined, then the best thing to do is to submit a Cashback Enquiry. Some stores however will not accept enquiries on transactions, that have not been automatically tracked or have been declined and in this case we will be unable to investigate further and will be unable to claim Cashback for you on transactions from these stores. Stores with a 'no enquiry policy' are displayed on the 'special terms' section on the store's page on the Cashrewards website.

I want to claim for Missing Cashback, but my purchase was more than 60 days ago?

If it is over 60 days since your purchase, then we are unable to investigate your claim.

This is because, in our terms with stores we have agreed to only follow up on claims for purchases within the previous 60 days.

If, however, you wish to claim because your transaction has recently been disallowed or declined by the store (i.e. your Cashback has been declined or crossed out and replaced with zero) – but your purchase is now over 60 days old, then under our terms we are able to accept your claim and look into this on your behalf. If this is the case please submit a claim despite the purchase having occurred more than 60 days ago. Some stores however will not accept enquiries on transactions that have been declined and in this case we will be unable to investigate further and will be unable to claim Cashback for you on transactions from these stores. Stores with a 'no enquiry policy' are displayed on the 'special terms' section on the store's page on the Cashrewards website.

How do I submit a Cashback enquiry?

Please use the Contact Us form on the website. We will respond to your enquiry within 2 business days.

Thanks, after a bit of fiddling I figured out how to directly submit a claim, and I let them know that if Dans doesn't play the game then I will return the fridge and what is left of the wine, as I would not have purchased such an order if I beleived the CR would get rejected.

Hey guys just wanted to let you know our very own TightArse ozbargain member assisted me with my claim and helped to resolve it. It was definitely not an error on CashRewards' end, apparently Dans processed the order wrong in the first place so they declined it due to their own negligence.

So thanks CR and thanks TightArse for a quick and easy resolution 😊

    • Hey Putnum, I and a friend are having the same issues too… I have lodged a query through and awaiting for Dan and CRto reply. What did you have to do to get Dan to hurry up? Thanks mate.

      • CR resolved it for me, not Dans. Send TightArse a PM and he'll assist.

Thanks for spurring me to have a look in to this. Dan's have so far declined cashback on multiple transactions for me totalling over $685. How's that for customer service. Guess I'll be following that one up.
