Asus Refurbished Laptops. How Do They Handle Batteries?

I was browsing ebay and found an Asus Refurbished laptop, refurbished by Asus Australia. The seller was treasurepconline so I asked whether the battery is new or not.

They told me since it isnt refurbished by them, they have no idea and assured me that Asus checks the products and it fully works.

Anyone know how they ahndle the bateries in refurb laptop?

They test the battery and if it passes a certain threshold, they keep it, otherwise they'll replace it with a 2nd hand battery that passes the threshold.

Best case, the battery might be 'as new' or 'near new'

I had Asus then Toshiba and now Dell.. I would go for Dell for long lasting laptops and batteries

Their motherboards tend to fail most of the time. I have a friend which I helped to recover the data which had a faulty motherboard after 15 months of ownership.
