Decent noise cancelling headphones that don't break the bank

Looking for some noise cancelling headphones to use at work. Something mid range ~$100-150 but decent quality.

    Platronics Backbeat Pro 2.

I got the Cowins - so far I'm pretty happy with them.
I'm a really light user so will have to see how they go over time.

      • I've got a set of these I'd be willing to sell OP if they're interested.

I also have to recommend the BackBeat Pro 2 by Plantronics.

I bought the original version for $200 on sale a couple of years ago, and they've held up well. They have excellent sound quality (considering it's bluetooth), very good noise cancellation (there are better out there, but it did the job plenty in the 'token' environment of an aeroplane), plus their battery life is utterly insane. Has cool little features like automatically pausing and resuming your audio when you remove the headphones from your ears, and put them back on, respectively. It also has a button that temporarily kills the volume to make talking easier, rather than having to scroll the volume down and back up again, or removing them (although, as I said, removing them isn't a hassle since you won't miss anything due to the auto pause and play functions).

Apparently the second version has multiple upgrades and at the same price point, so it's perfect.

    Huh, wish jaybirds had that.
