Nissan X-TRAIL 2017 T32 Series II Ti

Hi Guys,

I am looking to buy the Nissan X-TRAIL T32 Series II Ti. This is the newest model and just got released about a month ago. Has anyone own one yet? What was the price you got?

I am recently being bless with baby girl. I am still adjusting. I remember woke up freaking out got another livi g creature in the house. Then after a few seconds the memory came back. Probably due to lack of sleep.

I am currently driving sedan lended by a good friend of mine. Previous one got stolen but covered by insurance not much also better than nothing.

I found it so hard to put a fragile one into a rear facing car seat on sedan. You have a small room barely fit a baby. You have to do it very very carefully, no panicking and baby must not move let alone struggling. So now I am looking to get a family SUV.(Like damn straight '_')

The new car RRP for 48K. Dealer starting price 49K+. Dealer best price 46K+. I also talk to a guy who do deal with dealers and the current best price he got me is 42K. All of them white colour by the way.

Then it got me thinking, maybe out there in ozbargain community there are people like me wanted to buy nissan car too. So worth asking if anyone interested to join up maybe we can get even better deal. You know the ozbargain way. ;P
We can email all dealer and say to them like I've got 5 people interested to get cars from you how many percent off are you willing to give. Then let them bid. Can also give it to the guy who do deal with dealer maybe he can do it even better than the current one. What do you think guys?

Please vote only if you are genuinely interested. This is to get a rough estimate how many car to talk to the dealer. Thanks.

  • just wondering did you test drive it yet?

We test drive 2016 x trail and to us the ride is very rough. especially sitting at the back. not sure if the air pressure on the tire is too high with the car that we drove or it's normal with x trail.

tried kia sportage, hyundai tucson, x trail, ended up with mazda cx 5.

anyway, for x trail price, maybe check whirlpool?

    good luck

    • I did test drive the 2016 as well I notice it doesn't has the best suspension but for me stepping up from sport car is quite a big improvement in term of comfort. So I don't think there will be much different for 2017 and no I haven't test drive the newest one.

For x-trail I like the 360 camera, space and the leg room (it is wide). Then the all wheel drive gave me the same feeling as my previous car during take off. You get like instant torque. In my experience is one of the safety feature (I am sure many people will argue with me).

The 2017 model has more safety feature compare to the 2016 (New daddy paranoid mode activated).
And Ti model just for the sake of the tailgate (become the most expensive tailgate ever).

Thanks for the link by the way. ;)

  • I finally bought the car for just under 41.5K with a few extra.

I've tried with many dealer but didn't get a good respond (some of them very rude) and price so I use a service from the guy (Please PM me if you want the contact of the guy I used).

You will not pay any fee to this guy. I believe he get commission from the dealer but the final agree price is in the tax invoice. He will help you squish the dealer on the price. he only do new car. No second hand or demo (Factory warranty is easier to deal with than dealer warranty).

Depending of the availability (& many factor) the price you will be offered could be lower and might be slightly above the price he gave me if you after the same car. However it will still be a lot cheaper than the price any dealer can offer you if you walk in.

If you do believe you get better offer from a dealer, ring the guy back and he will throw shoes at the dealer that offered him bad price (exaggerate but you get the meaning). He will keep find you the best deal.

Overall I am happy using this guy and willing to recommend him.

    Happy ozbargain.
