New Fridge Needed - Any Deals over The Long Weekend?

Hi guys, my fridge is dead.

Checked and have been monitoring deals for fridges but nothing stands out.

I have a 450L whirlpool fridge that will turn itself off and beep at me until I power cycle it again. Even when it's running it doesn't keep stuff cold.

It's out of warranty and the repair guys want too much to fix so I need to spring for a new one.

I have an odd shaped cavity so 420-450l would be prime - there's and LG and Samsung Ive been eyeing out both roughly around 1k, but I thought I would ask the tightest ass's if I can save a few bucks cop it on the chin.

A little help?!

Thanks in advance.

Just a suggestion. I have a WP fridge in another property that started doing that. Turned out something blocked the drain pipe from the freezer which caused the refrigerator compartment not to cool. See if it is clear? Mine was all iced up above the blockage.
Easy fixing it would be the tightest "ass" thing I could recommend. :-)

    • Really i never even thought of that - how would i even go about locating the drainage pipe… i pulled the fridge out of the cavity (in my kitchen) but didnt see any pipes….

if you could assist with that it might be the cause - right now i have a zigbee power cable hooked up to my wifi with an auto cycle of power every 4 hours to turn it on and off so that it does a half decent job.

      • With mine it had a false bottom in the freezer compartment.. top mount freezer type btw…
Had to take a couple of screws out at the front and lifted out. Drain hole was at the back corner… had a small plastic clip stuck in the drain hole.
All under the false bottom was frozen solid!!
Hope yours is an easy fix? Disconnect from power before exploring..

check it all out and there was nothing i could see fixing the fridge - it was stuffed - managed to get a LG 450L during the ebay sales for $800 so i was pretty happy with that.

          thanks for the help :)
