PS4 500GB (Original) What Is The Value?

Can anyone help me in finding out the value of the old ps4. I see $248 bid on one on ebay-

which confuses me since you can a new conditioned slim version for around $270 when on sale at JB. Gumtree is another option, although a lot of risk involved and I don't want people offering $10 for it. Anyone know what eb games trade in value is for it these days? i'm guessing around $150 with the control and hdmi cable. Thanks for any help provided

    I could be wrong but that bid looks a bit sus to me, checking out the bidding list it seems the last legit bid was $165 possibly $180 bid. I'd price it at under $200 especially for the 12xx version? But thats just a guess. Personally I probably would imagine I'd only buy one if it hit the <$150 mark and I wanted one and didn't have one already.

      Thanks for the help. I'll chuck mines up for around $180 and see what happens. Strange thing is, there aren't any ps4 under $220 on eBay that I could find. I've still to check what eb would value it at, but i'm presuming it won't be very much. They're selling an international used model for $278 lol.

        I guess that makes sense, depends where you're selling it as well I guess? I used to be from a country town and have seen them go for $150 (though they're usually sold within the week).

        But if I was in Sydney (which I am) I'd expect the price to be closer to the $200 mark which I think it is. I imagine PS4 at <$220 with a few games would be snapped up quite quick? If it was free to advertise I'd probably start at $220 if you're willing to wait it out. If you had a couple games that would sweeten it to $230 or $240, just have to stay far enough away from the slim price that people don't say eh I'll just get a new slim.

        I'm not sure how accurate this info is, don't want to leave you short of cash lol, but hope it helps.

        That's because eBay sting you with the final value fee and paypal fees so you have to price it higher than normal if you are selling on eBay. Look at Gumtree / Facebook BSS to see the true value.

    On OCAU, it tends to sell around 180-200 with just the console + controller.

      the store I went to offered me $140 store credit with all the accessories with it eg. controller, hdmi
