Hi, I am not sure if this is the right place to put it.
I am due to renew my Anytime Fitness membership at the end of this month, the problem is that I initially registered in Sydney and have now moved to Adelaide since. My initial membership in Sydney was $700 upfront for the year.
Has anyone renewed at another state before? Or would it mean essentially signing up again?
Either way, I am hoping that I'll be able to negotiate a cheaper price. I believe Anytime lets you transfer memberships as well, I know of a friend who is willing to transfer their membership to me for $11.95 a week which works out to be $621.40 yearly, is this a good price?
Don't know how the "transfer" work excatly as I have only enquired about it at the Anytime I go to, and their response was if you use another gym significantly more than your home gym then your membership will automatically transfer over to that one and pay whatever fee that gym charges.
However since your membership is one that you pay up front, I wouldn't know if the $700 you paid gets transfered to the Adelaide gym or if they charge you extra. So I think it would be best if you asked the gym in Sydney what would happen in this case.
