Staying 5 nights in Sydney, need advice on accommodation recommendations, without being too expensive pls. Double room with ensuite bathroom. Centrally located would be ideal, but any advice welcomed.
Thanks in advance.

Airbnb is the best if you have a lot of people and need more space. Tripadvisor is usually pretty good for some recommendations too: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotels-g255060-Sydney_New_South_….

I've stayed at the Hyde Park Inn (http://www.hydeparkinn.com.au/), good location, free parking and pretty cheap.

  • Meriton in Zetlands is very good quality and well priced.

Glenferrie Lodge, Kirribilli. Share bathrooom with 2 or 3 other rooms. Great location. Ferry 5 mins walk. Very nice. Have stayed there! Hotels.com $102
Less cashrewards and accumulate rewards nights = approx $90

Park 8 is well located. fairly cheap at around 125 a night.

  • Thankyou for your replies and recommendations.
I appreciate your guidance. I often hear that housing prices are very expensive in Sydney, and rapidly finding out that short stay accommodation is too.

I'm following up with your suggestions above.

The Airbnb I noticed, the price is for the room, but there's also a cleaning fee attached onto that as well….?
I've not used Airbnb before, is that normal?

Yes that's normal. There is normally the price for the room, price for cleaning (varies per room) and a service fee (Airbnb's charge). You can choose to just hire a room (and share the flat with others) or book out the whole apartment.
