      Similar products to this have been around much longer than Nutri Ninja and the other more expensive devices.

      For my use (smoothie making) the end results are essentially the same.

      I find I tend to chew (literally) through bullet blenders like these within about 12 months or so.
      After a bit of use the rubber foot that drives the blades tends to disintegrate, for one reason or another, rendering the product unusable, but you do build up a nice collection of accessories when you buy a new one.

      I have not -yet- manged to chew up my Nutri Ninja, it appears to be a little more solid and the design is different. I also tend to find that the Nutri Ninja makes less mess because the seals/cap/blades are better quality.
      But the Nutri Ninja is about 3-4 times this price so that is a factor to consider as well.

        Thanks for the detailed response. I own a nutri ninja and it's been going well. It is 1000W and quite powerful.

    ok…honest question…how many months is the product life?
