Says they are made in Vietnam on the website.
Has anybody brought these shoes before.
Yes I did Last year. They are definitely not made in Aus and do not nearly have quality like RM etc.
For me they were leather casual shoes that were not your typical brand I.e. urge. Lasted me one summer of semi regular use.
Fyi I think the sale is because they are closing the Bondi shop.
Yikes, only one summer? Pursuant to the /r/MFA I purchased a pair of Clark's desert boots, also made in Vietnam, two years ago and despite wearing them two out of every three days they're still going strong.
You're right, darn description. I can see where he got it from though as one of their descriptions is deliberately misleading: 'Handmade leather shoes, boots and bags designed and manufactured by Australian owned and operated Mere Footwear'.
Besides RM Williams, Belmore and a few other old brands, I wasn't aware of any more Australian shoemakers so thanks! Now to ascertain if any of their shoes are Goodyear-welted…
