Hey guys, I've recently purchased a Go Pro Hero 5 Black and of course this camera could be a money pit. Well, can you guys recommend me some must have accessories? Any accessories considered as a good deal right now on special? I've purchased the Sandmarc compact pole for 35 bucks which is a pretty good deal. Thanks

Extra batteries are a definite. Get the dual battery charger too for the GoPro 5 version. . Can be recharged with a powrbank via USB which is nice.

There's the offical GoPro gimble for nice video stabilisation. There's also slightly cheaper third party ones
Also if you're doing things solo and you need to frame shots you can use the phone and GoPro app as a remote too. I'd use a cheap phone for when I'm doing things like mountain biking so I don't smash my good phone or something called Removu which is a remote with a screen. Helps frame shots without taking like your helmet off.

No, offical ones are not expensive,$35. Get the official charger and you'll get a battery too.
Depending on what you will use it for but my main use accessories are:
- floaty backdoor (must have for not losing your gopro to the depths of the ocean)
- frame mount (I prefer to have the gopro open to the elements for good audio quality when I'm using a selfie stick)
- selfie stick
- go pro app
- lens protectors for waterproof case (don't want it getting getting scratched in my bag)
Any other accessories I have, I rarely use.

I am planning to get the official spare battery but what about the other accessories like floating handle etc etc. I will mostly using it under water snorkelling.
