Parking near QAGOMA, Brisbane

Planning to visit the Marvel exhibition at the Queensland art gallery in Brisbane in a few weeks time.

Is there any free parking options in the area? I see there are some car parking stations, but if I can get free on street parking, all the better.

Can go either on a weekday or a weekend, if that gives more options.

Haven't driven through Brisbane before, and depending on the day, may drive in either from Noosa or from NSW, again, does either of those make for an easier visit than the other?

Go to Westend ferry terminal to park there, then take bus 60, 199 to QAGOMA

    • Late poster- not sure if this will help but keep in mind that the 60 bus (Westend/Teneriffe City Glider)is a prepaid bus service so you'll need a gocard.

If you're going on a weekend, check out myercentre parking - $10 flat rate (or $7 on Sat if you book online in advance) which isn't bad for city parking & then walk across the bridge to GOMA.

If you go in the weekend, there are some free street parking along Hope St, and a city council carpark along Merivale St, near Queensland theatre.

  • they're both within walking distance to QAGOMA

Follow on Melbourne Street and go and park in any of the side streets towards West End, they're all free on weekends. I usually park at Manning Street for any conventions, GOMA visits.

  • Thanks all, sorry for not replying sooner, but ended up changing plans and won't be going to Brissie after all :-(
