Is Every Deal Emailed to You?

I got an email this morning a newsletter from yesterday and in it, was a 15% off deal from ebay which only ran yesterday until midnight.

I wanted to buy a camera lens so missed out but I did not get the original email of this deal to my inbox. I checked every email sent yesterday and nothing there about 15% off everything. Nothing in my spam either :(

Had a look at settings for the website there is nothing about filtering what deals you get emailed..

On a side note saw someone mention in the comments that there is usually deals like this on a Wednesday. I will have to manually check the website I guess..

I even searched ebay for what deals were on yesterday and googled it and nothing like this came up :(

  • "Is Every Deal Emailed to You?"

    No

  • Why don't you subscribe for ebay deals?

  • Thanks I worked out my way around the site now. Thought all the email notification stuff would be under settings.

I see that most of these % off ebay deals are posted under the category of 'other' is that right?

    Cheers

  • Is Every Deal Emailed to You?

If you subscribe to all the categories, then yes, you'll get all the deals emailed to you. However do expect ~100 emails a day on just new deals.

Alternatively if you just want eBay deals, go to eBay AU page on OzBargain, and click on "Subscribe" button to receive emails from new eBay deals.

  • Thanks!

  • so missed out

We have all had that on OzBargain. It is a sad, painful, bitter experience.

But we always remain optimistic and hopeful on bagging that great deal tomorrow.

  • Yeah it kind of weird like YouTube and Reddit in that you have to subscribe to get the deals into your email.

You can subscribe to almost anything to categories to sub categories to store pages to product pages to tag words and forums even too I believe but I am not 100 % sure on that one.

  • If you wish to follow specific categories, then a convenient way is via RSS feeds. Obviously some work to set up those you want but RSS is a great way to aggregate and view content from a variety of sources.

My reader of choice is Feedly but I'm still mourn the passing of Google Reader! Feedly has iOS/Android applications plus a good web interface.

  • That's why you should be refreshing OzBargain every 10 minutes.

    • You wait 10 mins? :-)

  • No. Only the ones I subscribe to. Sometimes I will check Oz Bargain if I need something.
