  • For a soon-to-be old model, that price is high for a grey import in that size.

    • +1

Yes and no. I could only find it cheaper on one occasion when doing a quick search of past deals here, nothing else around currently.

I think the AU prices are very good though.

At any rate, I consider my rights under the Australian Consumer Law, and being able to deal with Apple locally, to be worth the additional $100 for Australian stock. So I personally wouldn't consider a grey import.

      • Yeah, the AU stock ones are better in this deal, given their bigger capacities as well, compared with the grey import one. But still with the release of the iPhone 8 expected on September, I am not sure if it's worth buying an iPhone 7 at any of these prices. I am sure the prices will go even further down when the new model comes out in about two months' time.

        • Do agree, except that it's so hard to predict what will happen come September.

Although I don't think there will be huge falls, as they'll probably still be selling the 7 post launch of the 8. If the 8 actually launches in September…

        • Yeah prices don't drop all that much. If somebody needed a phone now but also wanted to upgrade to the iPhone 8 they could buy the grey import iPhone 7 and sell it for very little loss come September.

The killer here is the upto 3 week delivery timeframe.

    • Iphone 6s hasn't gone down in price much.

  • I'm waiting for the 8 but this is tempting! It's like my iPhone 6 has gotten incredibly slow just in the past few weeks. Conspiracy theory?

  • Apple doesn't typically drop price much when new models are released so these are still good prices for those that do not need the absolute latest.

  • I have never dealt with Vaya but their feedback on eBay leaves a lot to be desired.
