I just got a free PS3 recently via the Bravia promotion and want to buy the PS3 remote. Cheapest I've seen is $47 at JB Hifi. Does anyone know where I could get it cheaper?

I think you mean the BLU-RAY, and not BLUETOOTH (although I think it still uses Bluetooth communication, and not IR like normal DVD remotes?)

I believe the RRP of one of these is $50, so you should be able to find them cheaper.

eventually i paid $43… bought at dstore for apprx $47 + 6ish for postage and used a $10 discount.
i could have bought it at another place called playasia.com but was worried about warranty and postal issues… prefer to buy from an aussie co and get it in a few days than wait a week or two.
Agree - buy from a Aussie retailer then you'll know its safe & you can take/send it back for money back if the product doesn't work.
Playasia.com are quite safe and reputable. A lot of gaming people I know buy their PC games from there. It's mostly 50% cheaper than retail here in Aus, but then again I guess it is better to support your local businesses ;)

Sorry B, I can't help you out. I haven't lay my hands on gaming console for the last 5 years or so. I could only hope I have the $$ and time to get the PS3 someday (maybe when PS4 is released). :)
