GB Qbit+ Stroller $249 (Was $499) @ Baby Bunting ($224.1 Toys-R-Us Price Beat)

160

Was looking at GB Pockit deal previously but after I tested it out several times I decided to get a Qbit+ instead.

It's not as small and light as Pockit, but it does have very good recline, big sun canopy and folds the whole thing using one hand. Still fits in flight cabin overhead compartments.

Only red colour available from Baby Bunting but I got lucky to get a nice staff at Toys R Us to price beat for $224.1 . I got a black one. (they're selling @ $379 at the moment)

Next cheapest is $289 from Nile ebay (Khaki color only)

Edit: I grabbed a printed catalog from Baby Bunting to price match at Toys R Us. Catalog didn't mention it's red only.

  • Which store location did you get it and do you remember who served you?

    • Westfield Garden City. It's a young lady but I don't remember her name.
Only Black and Pink available. 1 Blue but demo only.

      • Lucky. Last time I got refused because of the colour difference at the same store.

  • toy r us not going to price match similar to other deal (in fact, this was also on same catalog on other deal - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/311109), i bought this one from baby bunting online for just 9$ shipping, good stroller.

Pretty clever by Toys R Us to have "same color" in their policy and can still sell same stroller for ridiculous price.

    • I got refused once but went back there again and got lucky with another staff.
She knew about Baby Bunting sale and she said she price beat a few GB Pockit recently.

  • Technically this wouldn't be allowed as carry on. Eg Jetstar specifications for carryon luggage is 56cm height x 36 cm width x 23 cm
    The pockit+ folded is 30L x 49W x 53H (mm)

So particularly the budget airlines here and abroad could ping you for it and then you'd be up for paying exorbitant fees to purchase checkin luggage at the gate

We've been researching for our trip to Spain and only the pockit (not pockit+) is within the max dimensions of another budget airline who are notorious for being strict: Ryanair. Their max sizing for carryon is 55x40x20

    • Not sure about carry on size, but I flew jetstar before and all baby equipment can be checked-in for free. I can push the stroller to gate before handed it to the staff to check-in.
      http://www.jetstar.com/au/en/help/articles/can-i-bring-a-pra…

And last time flying with Cathay Pacific the check-in crew said 'strollers like yoyo' can be taken as carry-on and flight attendant will store it somewhere in cabin.

  • Does this come with a rain cover? I've read reviews indicating it does but the web site says it doesn't.

    • Mine doesn't come with a rain cover.

      • Thanks, must've been a UK review that I read.

  • Hey OP, any chance you could please upload a receipt ASAP?

Going to see if the Stroller meets our needs this afternoon and expecting refusal based on price beat's colour requirements. Your receipt may assist our argument, thanks!

    • Sorry I'm on holiday and don't have the receipt with me now.
Show them the catalog instead of the product webpage. If they refuse price beat you could go back tomorrow and try a different staff.
Alternatively you can try David Jones. They price match but not beat.
      Good luck

  • I MISSED THIS DEAL ! :(((
