Peugeot ebikes, anyone used them before?

Looking into riding to work again (the slacker way), this Peugeot eT01 has caught my eye during the ebay cracker sale - where the bike is 50% off down at eurocycles, then stack another 15% off- bringing it down to $1770 inc. shipping, which in IMHO, is a good deal for an electric bike! (avg. price on bikeexchange is about 3k)

However, I can't find any reviews about the item - and there's no one in Western Australia that has this in stock to have a look.

Anyone would like to share their thoughts about the bike? or head down to the store in NSW for me and give it a demo :P

Thanks!

  • I have a Leitner Electric Bike. They are fantastic. Just went for a long ride on it today. About $1300 for one including postage so that's even cheaper than your Peugeot.

This is the one I have, base model with a 50km range. Blue is the best colour IMO. Let me know if you have any questions I'd be happy to answer them.

  • These expensive brand named bikes tend not to sell in high volume because most of the price is for the badge rather than the technology. I know because I almost bought a similar electric bike from Aprilia.

Am not sure if these are the correct Peugeot eT01 technical specs. For the average weight and average electric motor is seems expensive for a bike that retails more than $3000.

If you can't find any reviews then I suggest compare the technical specifications with other similar priced electric bikes.
